Coffee is great and easy to make, but the starter kit is misleading. The jar only holds 4 cups of water, but the bags say to put two sachets of coffee into the jar with 8 cups of water. The mouth of the brewing jar is very small and once the sachets are soaked it is very difficult to remove them, usually flinging coffee everywhere when you manage to rip them out. A great idea, but I wasted a sachet of coffee by following the instructions and putting two into the tiny jar, and I find the jar frustrating to use.

Sorry to hear you had trouble with the free kit Megan. The jar is designed to make cold brew concentrate. So yes, 2 bags plus 4 cups of water should make 8 cups of cold brew once diluted.

We will look into sourcing a jar with a wider mouth, very good suggestion.
