Subscription Terms & Conditions

These Subscription Terms apply to all recurring subscription orders placed through rimecoldbrew.com ("Rime Cold Brew," "we," "us," or "our"). By starting a subscription, you agree to these terms in addition to our [Terms of Service] and [Privacy Policy]. If you don't agree, please use one-time purchase instead.
We've tried to write this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at [hello@rimecoldbrew.com] and we'll explain.
1. How subscriptions work
When you choose a subscription option at checkout, you're enrolling in a recurring order that ships and bills automatically on the same day each month — the same calendar day your subscription started — until you cancel.
We currently offer two subscription tiers:
- 2 bags per month — $23.99/bag. Plus a free reusable ice cube tray with your first shipment only.
- 4 bags per month — $23.99/bag & free shipping on every order. Free starter kit (a $63.96 value) with your first shipment only.
After your first order, you can adjust the quantity in your account at any time. The minimum subscription is 2 bags per order. If you want more than 4 bags per shipment, contact us and we'll set it up.
2. Authorization for recurring billing
By starting a subscription, you authorize Rime Cold Brew to charge your payment method automatically on the same calendar day each month for the price of the bags in your subscription, plus applicable taxes and shipping (where shipping isn't included), until you cancel.
Specifically, you confirm that:
- You are the authorized cardholder of the payment method provided
- You agree to the per-shipment price in effect at the time of each renewal
- You understand renewals will continue automatically with no further action required from you
- You'll keep your payment and shipping information current in your account
Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store your full card number on our servers.
3. Pricing, shipping, and taxes
The subscriber price of $23.99 per bag is locked in for as long as your subscription remains active and uninterrupted. If you cancel and restart, the then-current price applies.
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address and order size. The 4-bag subscription tier includes free shipping on every order. For the 2-bag tier, standard shipping rates apply.
Applicable Canadian sales taxes (GST/HST/PST/QST) are added based on your shipping province.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing for future orders. If we change the price of your subscription, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, giving you the option to cancel before any new pricing applies.
4. Order schedule and renewal notifications
Your first order ships shortly after you place it. Each subsequent order is processed on the same calendar day each month — for example, if you start your subscription on the 15th, future orders renew on the 15th of every month. We'll send you an email reminder before each renewal so you can skip, delay, or modify the order before it's billed.
If your billing day is the 29th, 30th, or 31st and a given month is shorter, your order will process on the last day of that month. If a scheduled renewal date falls on a weekend or holiday, processing may shift by 1–2 business days.
5. Managing, pausing, and skipping orders
You're in control of your subscription at all times. Through your account dashboard, you can:
- Skip an upcoming order
- Pause your subscription for a set period
- Change your shipping address or delivery frequency
- Adjust the number of bags per shipment (minimum 2)
- Update your payment method
- Cancel anytime
Changes must be made at least 24 hours before your next scheduled order processes to apply to that order. Changes made after the order has processed will apply to the following shipment.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, with no fee.
To cancel:
- Log into your account at rimecoldbrew.com and select "Cancel subscription," or
- Email us at [contact@rimecoldbrew.com] from the address on your account
Cancellations take effect immediately. Any order that has already been processed for shipment cannot be cancelled but can be returned under our refund policy below.
After cancellation, you keep access to any unshipped free gifts you've already qualified for (e.g., a first-shipment ice cube tray that has already shipped). Promotional items tied to ongoing subscription tiers (such as the 4-bag tier's free shipping) end with the cancellation.
7. Refunds and our satisfaction guarantee
We stand behind our cold brew. If you're not happy with your first subscription order, email us within 30 days of delivery and we'll refund the bags (you don't need to ship them back).
For subsequent orders:
- Unopened bags can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the product cost (return shipping is at your expense unless the product was damaged or defective)
- Opened bags are non-refundable, but if there's a quality issue, contact us — we'll make it right
- Free gifts (ice cube tray, starter kit items) don't need to be returned for a refund to be issued, but we'd love to know if anything wasn't up to standard
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval.
8. Shipping, delays, and missed deliveries
We ship across Canada from our facility. Estimated transit times are shown at checkout, but actual delivery depends on the carrier and your location.
Shipping delays caused by carriers, weather, customs, or other circumstances outside our control are not grounds for a refund of the product, though we'll always work with you to track down a missing shipment and replace it if it's lost. If a package is marked delivered but you haven't received it:
- Check with neighbours and at your building's usual delivery spots
- Contact the carrier with the tracking number
- If still missing after 3 business days, email us and we'll help
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address you provided, you're responsible for reshipment costs. Please keep your address current in your account.
We currently ship within Canada only. Cold brew is a perishable product; we monitor temperature-sensitive shipping conditions and may adjust shipping methods seasonally to maintain product quality.
9. Product information and food safety
Rime Cold Brew is produced in accordance with the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) and is regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Our product labels include the responsible party's business address as required by Canadian food labelling rules.
Best-before dates are printed on every bag. Store as directed on the packaging. Once brewed, refrigerate and consume within the timeframe shown on the bag.

10. Promotions, free gifts, and tier perks
Free gifts and promotional perks (ice cube tray, starter kit, free shipping) are tied to specific subscription tiers and are subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute items of equal or greater value if a specific item is unavailable.
Promotional perks are limited to one per household unless otherwise stated. Free gifts are not available for separate sale and have no cash value.
If you downgrade from the 4-bag tier to the 2-bag tier, the 4-bag-tier perks (free shipping, starter kit) end at the next renewal.
11. Your consumer rights under Canadian law
Nothing in these terms limits or waives any rights you have under applicable Canadian or provincial consumer protection legislation, including:
- The federal Competition Act (which governs how we describe pricing, savings claims, and free items)
- Provincial consumer protection acts in your province of residence — for example, Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002, Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, and equivalents in other provinces
Quebec residents: in the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, the Act prevails.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of your subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you don't agree to the updated terms, you can cancel before they take effect.
